Marie A. (Clor) Klee October 30, 1929 – January 15, 2022 Mrs. Marie A. Klee, 92 of Ruth, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Meadow Lane Assisted Living Facility in Bad Axe. Marie was born on October 30, 1929 in Harbor Beach to the late Joseph and Clara (Messing) Clor. She then married Lawrence Klee on April 30, 1949 at St. John Catholic Church in Forestville. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2007. Marie was a graduate of the White Rock country school. She farmed with her husband and family, taking pride in being a farmer's wife and mom who made the most phenomenal homemade bread. She was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Marie is survived by 6 daughters, Lauretta (Ken) Roberts of Minden City, Mildred (Paul) King of Kingston, Pauline (Jerry) Long of Ubly, Alice Gorkowski of Bad Axe, Sheila (Kerry) Grifka of Ubly, Sharon (Tom) Murray of Ubly; 7 sons, Kenneth (Terri) of Chesterfield Twp, Dennis (Bonnie) of Ruth, Harvey of Ruth, Ernest of Ruth, Timothy (Laura) of Ubly, Irvin (Cheryl) of Ubly, Earl of Ruth; 31 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Clor; two sisters, JoAnn (Lewis) Slavick, Patricia Clor; three sisters- in-law, Laura Clor, Ilene Clor, Verna Clor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clara Clor; four brothers, Luke, Fabian, Gabriel and Benjamin; one sister, Regina Hanselman; two sisters-in-law, Nora Clor and Priscilla Clor; one grandson, Paul Oswald; two daughters-in-law, Cathy Klee and Annette Klee. Marie's Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, January 22 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Holy Apostles Parish in Ruth. Rev. Matthew Federico, pastor will officiate. Marie will be laid to rest in the spring next to her beloved husband, Lawrence in the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Ruth. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm and Saturday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church only from 10:00-10:45 am. There will be a Christian Mothers rosary recited by the Holy Apostles Christian Mothers Friday afternoon at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Please consider making a donation in Marie's honor to the Sts.
