Edward Franklin Kociba February 25, 1941 - July 8, 1992 Edward Franklin Kociba, Jr., 51, of Otisville, died Wednesday, July 8, 1992, at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. He was born February 25, 1941, in Bad Axe, son of Edward and Leona (Itchue) Kociba, Sr. He married Arlene Lemanski on November 28, 1964, in Flint. Mr. Kociba was employed as a supervisor of quality control at Buick City in Flint for 28 years. He was an avid hunter and. fisherman. Mr. Kociba was a 1958 graduate of Bad Axe High School and attended General Motors Institute of Flint for four years. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from December 28, 1959, to December 28, 1963. Surviving are his wife, Arlene of Otisville; a son, Daniel and his wife Desari of Millington; two daughters, Deanna of Canton and Denise, at home; one granddaughter, his parents, Edward, Sr. and Leona of Port Hope; two sisters, Margaret Ann Tufts of Bad Axe and Loretta Hoose of Caro; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were 11:00 am. Saturday at St Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. The Rev. John Cotter, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Hudson Funeral Home in Otisville and Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
