Emma Martha (Collin) Koenders  
June 29, 1907 – January 23, 1994
Emma Koenders, 23620 Denton, Mt. Clemens, died Sunday evening, January 23, 1994, 
at Mt. Clemens General Hospital, at the age of eighty-six years.  Emma was born 
in Harrison Township, Michigan on June 29, 1907, a daughter of Robert and Anna 
(Upleger) Collin.  She was united in marriage to George Koenders on August 18, 
1925, in Mt. Clemens, were the made their home for most of their married life.

Emma enjoyed flower gardening and her vegetable garden kept her pantry and 
freezer well stocked.  She relaxed by working on jigsaw puzzles, kitting 
crocheting and could often be found enjoying the latest romance novel.

Emma is survived by her loving children, Roy (Olga) Koenders, Martha (William) 
Behnke and Ruth (Otto) Bluntzer, her sisters, Helen Krueger and Mildred Ruby, 16 
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  

Funeral serviced were held Wednesday,, January 26, 1994, at 10 AM at Our Lade of 
Queen of All Saints Church, with Rev. Arthur Fauser officiating.  A Scripture 
service was held Tuesday evening at the Faulman and Walsh Golden Rule Funeral 
Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Michigan.  Burial was in Resurection Cemetery, 
Clinton Township, Michigan.  Published: unknown
