Eleanor L. (Pawlowski) Kozfkay 
June 28, 1919 – September 29, 1992
Former Parisville resident, Eleanor L. Kozfkay, 73, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, 
September 29, 1992, in Mercy Hospital in Port Huron.  She was born June 28, 1919 
in Sigel Township, daughter of the late Robert and Martha (Moy) Pawlowski.  She 
married Joseph Kozfkay September 16, 1939 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 
Parisville.  He preceded her in death July 17, 1978.   Mrs. Kozfkay was a 
graduate of St. Mary’s Elementary School.  She was a lifelong parishioner of St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville, where she was a member of the Rosary 
Sodality. She farmed in Paris Township with her husband and she was co-owner of 
Little Joe’s Bar in Ruth from 1954-62.  Mrs. Kozfkay worked for Dott 
Manufacturing for 11 years.  She had resided in Sandusky for the past five 
years.

Surviving a son, Robert and his wife, Linda of Sandusky; four grandchildren; one 
great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Albina) Guitar of Warren and 
Mrs. Edward (Elsie) Kozfkay of Harbor Beach.  She was preceded in death by one 
son, Dale on June 24, 1966, a sister, Sylvia Puvalowski and two brothers, Ernest 
Pawlowski and Alvin Gwisdalla.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville.  
The Rec. Ronald Dombrowski, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  A rosary will be conducted at the Zinger-Smigielski  Funeral 
Home in Ubly today at 7:30 p.m. by the St. Mary’s  Rosary Sodality.  A parish 
wake service is set Friday at 7:30 p.m.  Friends may call at the funeral home 
today from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Friday from 1:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 
a.m. until 9:15 a.m.  From Find a Grave
