(Tough) Kramer September 2, 1946 – January 5, 2009 Mrs. Linda L. Kramer, 61, of Harbor Beach died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her residence under hospice care. She was born September 2, 1946 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Howard and Stella (Clark) Tough. She married Merlin Kramer on October 7, 1967 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Linda was a graduate of Ubly High School and attended Central Michigan University for one year. She worked for Excello Corporation in Highland Park. She lived in the Detroit area for 10 years and then in Ortonville for 25 years. She was a former parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Ortonville where she had been a member of the Parish Council and was a current parishioner at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. Mrs. Kramer did reupholstering for many years and owned Kramer Custom Upholstery for 20 years. She enjoyed painting, her grandchildren, friends and polka dancing. She is survived by her husband, Merlin Kramer of Harbor Beach; one son, Michael Kramer and his wife, Victoria, of Shelby Township; one daughter, Cindy Franco and her husband, René; grandchildren, Veronica and Emmalee Kramer and Wesley Franco; step-grandchildren, Mike Statly and Alex Franco; two sisters, Becky Ryan of Scottsdale, Arizona, Julia Heilig Dutcher and her husband, Allan, of Ubly; step-mother, Ann Richardson of Bad Axe; mother-in-law, Mary Kramer of Harbor Beach. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Howard David Tough and Thomas Tough. Funeral Mass for Mrs. Kramer will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Rev. Robert Pare, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly, and from 10 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday. There will be a parish vigil service at 4 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Robert Pare at the funeral home.
