Kramer, 97, of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday evening, September 29, 2010 at the Lakeview Extended Care Facility in Harbor Beach. Mary was born April 17, 1913 in Harbor Beach to the late Joseph and Mathilda (Wolschlager) Booms. She married Stewart T. Kramer on April 21, 1936 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helena. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1979. Mary was a graduate of Sand Beach No. 7 School. She worked at the Walter Jenks residence in Harbor Beach as a domestic. She was a caretaker for several family members. Mary was a parishioner at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth since 1936. She was a member and former president of the Ss. Peter and Paul Christian Mothers. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, baby-sitting for family, playing the piano, quilting, upholstery, and her flower and vegetable gardens. Mary is survived by her children, Gerald (Mary Lou) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Daniel (Jean) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Merlin (Sandra) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Marvin (Janet) Kramer of Harbor Beach, Yvonne (Louis) Bushey of Caseville, Bernadette Thompson of Sylvania, Ohio, Mary Fran (Terry) Woycehoski of Clio; 30 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 25 step-great- grandchildren; six step-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Kramer of Ruth. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph; three grandchildren, Todd Bushey, Joel Kramer and Brent Kramer; two daughters-in-law, Phyllis Kramer and Linda Kramer; one son-in-law, John Thompson; three brothers, Joseph, Clarence and Allen Booms; seven sisters, Cecelia Terbrack, Sarah Essenmacher, Adeline Wehner, Amelia Booms, Frances Booms, Florence Ramisch, Helen Scholtz. The funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Rev. Peter Nwokoye, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. There will be a Ss. Peter and Paul Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m. Friday and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. Both services will be at the funeral home.
