Cook-Rambo, 92, of Bad Axe was gently taken to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was born on July 23, 1925, daughter of the late John and Mary (Kolanko) Krozek. She was born and raised on the family farm in Lincoln Township, the Rapson area. The family farm, still in the family, will qualify as a "Centennial Farm" on April 5, 2021. She married Cash J. Cook on Feb. 15, 1941, in St. Joseph Church, Rapson. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1987. She married Peter C. Rambo on Sept. 15, 1999, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2007. In 1957, the family moved to Cadillac, Michigan. While living in Cadillac, she was a retail sales clerk for the Ace Hardware store. In the summer of 1964, the family moved back to Bad Axe. She continued as a retail sales clerk at the Polewach Department Store. For 19 years she was able to winter away to N. Fort Myers, Florida. During the summer, she would make a few trips and relax at her former property with residence in Cadillac, where she had a life-time lease. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, enjoyed "word-search" puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her Thursday morning Coffee group and with her close friend, Nettie. Her Florida neighbors and friends were very near and dear to her heart with whom she gathered for potluck dinners and card playing, her favorite being Pinochle. She was the last surviving member of a special group of family members and friends named "The Young-Timers." Left behind to treasure her memory is her son Cash John of Kalkaska; two daughters Mary (David) Stark of Cadillac and Barbara Partaka of Bad Axe; one brother John (Frances) Krozek of Kinde; two sisters Helen Zagorski of Warren and Sophie Hoin of Roseville; six grandchildren Charles (Rob) Durr of Troy, Michael Partaka, Kasey Partaka and Sara Partaka all of Bad Axe, Chantelle (James) Kroll of Grand Rapids, and Bradley (Amy) Stark of Tustin; 14 great-grandchildren Matthew, Adam, Kay-Leigh, Carter, Seth, Rebecca, Emily, Michael, Jr., Alayna, Alyshea, Christopher, Chloe, Malisa and Raydin; sisters-in-law Christine Krozek of Bad Axe, Dolores (Marv) Oswald of Warren; stepchildren Craig (Pat) Rambo, Scott (Mindy) Rambo, Lynn (Don) Musolff, Jill (Lee) Howie and Susan (Tom) Kaczuk; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by sons-in-law Charles (Bob) Durr and Ronald (Ron) Partaka; one sister Eleanor Krivosheff; six brothers Walter (Marie), Stanley (Beatrice), Edward (Adriann), Ernest, Clarence (Michalina), and Leonard Krozek; and brothers-in-law John Zagorski and Joe Hoin. A funeral service was held July 23 (her birthday) at St. Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Burial was at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bad Axe. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dee's name would be greatly appreciated to St. Hubert Parish, Courtney Manor or the charity of one's own choosing.
