Harvey Krug, 58
Bad Axe, former director of Huron County Social Welfare dept and Verona tps 
supervisor died unexpectedly Mon evening in Hubbard Memorial hospital from a 
cerebral hemorrhage. He was born June 22, 1899 in Bingham twp and has been a 
life long resident of Huron county. Mr Krug lived in Verona twp since 1924 and 
was a supervisor of that twp from 1941 to 1945., Huron County Social Welfare 
director from Jan 1945 to Dec 1956 and was a member of Verona Lodge No 365 F & A 
M. while welfare director he was instrumental in securing federal aid to help 
pay for the $350,000 addition now under construction. Harvey and Miss Gladys 
Apley were married March 30, 1918 in Ubly. 

Survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs June Ormsby, Birch Run, Mrs Helen Minnick, Flint, 
Mrs Doris Learman, Bad Axe and Mrs Beatrice Kerr, Bad Axe; 5 sons, Harvye C, 
Royal Oak, Floyd, Dearborn, Vern, William and Jack all of Bad Axe; his mother, 
Mrs Elizabeth Krug, East Troy, WI; one brother Roy Krug of East Troy, WI; one 
sister, Mrs Beatrice Hough, East Troy, WI. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. 
Thurs at the First Meth ch, Bad Axe. Burial will be in Colfax cemetery. Remains 
are in MacAlpine funeral home, Bad Axe.
