Kubacki March 30, 1929 – March 2, 2007 Clarence P. Kubacki, 77, of Parisville, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007, at his residence. Clarence was born March 30, 1929 in Ubly to the late Aloysius and Lucy (Smaglinski) Kubacki. He married Beatrice Susalla on October 14, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. Clarence was a graduate of the Bingham Country School and a 1948 graduate of Ubly High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of the Zurek-Graham VFW Post No. 6965. He was a machine operator for Lasky Construction from 1949 to 1990. He was employed at the Bushey Tile Company from 1990 to 2003. He also farmed in Paris Township. Clarence was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church all his life where he was a member of St. Mary's Men's Club and the choir since 1973. He enjoyed playing his harmonica and accordion, polka dances, Michigan football, Tiger baseball and disassembling barns and houses. Clarence is survived by his wife, Beatrice, of Parisville; four daughters, Sharon Bukoski and her husband, Charles, of Davisburg, Bonnie Braun and her husband, Thomas, of Caro, Jean Samons and her husband, Ralph, of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Karen Pichla and her husband, Kenneth, of Bad Axe; two sons, Gerard Kubacki and his wife, Charlene, of Ubly, and Joseph Kubacki and his wife, Janice, of Chesterfield; 17 grandchildren, Jessica, Jill, and Jodi Bukoski, Jason Braun, Mike (Katie) Braun, Greg (Becky) Braun, Amanda and Bryan Samons, Carrie Pichla and fiancé Ryan Nelson, Eric, Grant and Sheila Pichla, Jackie, Jeremy, Kayla, Nicole and Kurt Kubacki; one step granddaughter, Vanessa Karges; one great granddaughter, Jalyn Braun; five sisters, Rita Helewski of Ubly, Mary Ann (Eugene) Wisneski, of Bad Axe, Mildred (Eugene) Lamke, of Parisville, Florence "Pat" (Lawrence) Vogel, of Minden City, and Rose Mary (Tom) Wisneski, of Warren; four brothers, Irvin (Marie) Kubacki, Stanley (Margaret) Kubacki, Aloysius Jr. (Joan), Bernard (Pauline) Kubacki, all of Bad Axe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marie Susalla, Frances (Izzy) Koceba, Irene (Gordon) Eden, Agnes (Eugene) Gorkowski, Patricia (Herb) Vogel, Jake (Evelyn) Susalla; and 87 nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by one infant son; one sister, Helen Kubacki; brothers and sisters-in- law, Stanley Helewski, Paul and Theresa Skipinski, Frank and Eleanor Talaski, Bill and Martha Susalla, Art Susalla. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville with military honors. The Rev. Jerzy Dobosz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home. There will be a parish vigil service at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
