Marie Theresa (Wolschleger) Kubacki
April 18, 1930 - January 1, 2014
 

Marie T. Kubacki, 83, of Bad Axe, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at 
United Hospice in Marlette after a short illness.  Marie was born April 18, 
1930, in Harbor Beach, the daughter of the late Michael J. and Anna M.  (Booms) 
Wolschleger.  She married Irwin E. Kubacki on October 12, 1949, at St. Anthony 
Catholic Church in Helena.  He preceded her in death on October 22, 2009.

Marie attended East Huron Rural School.  She has been a parishioner of Sacred 
Heart Parish for more than 60 years. Marie enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking 
and enjoyed singing.  She loved Country music, especially Loretta Lynn.  Her 
greatest joy was taking care of her son, Allen.

Marie is survived by one son, Allen Kubacki of Bad Axe; two brothers, Albert 
Wolschleger and his wife, Helen, of Harbor Beach and Ben Wolschleger and his 
wife, Vange, of Harbor Beach; three sisters-in-law, Gertrude Wolschleger and 
Doris Wolschleger, both of Harbor Beach, and Della Wolschleger of Parisville; 
and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by six brothers, Jerome (Mary) Wolschleger, Leonard 
Wolschleger, Vincent Wolschleger, Edward (Gin) Wolschleger, Dennis (Rosemary) 
Wolschleger, and Norman (Delores) Wolschleger; and one sister, Leona (Melvin) 
Ziskie.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Hubert Parish, Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Rev. Robert Howe, pastor, will officiate. 
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Visitation for Marie will be from 2 
to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly, and from 10 
a.m. until the mass Monday at the church.  There will be a Parish Vigil service 
at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Hubert Food 
Pantry.

4, 2014.
