He was born May 30, 1968 in Cass City, to Eugene and Betty (Vogel) Kubacki. Joe graduated from Ubly High School in 1986. He married Valerie Arndt on April 5, 1997 in Ubly, after a blind date set up by Joe’s sister Dea. JoJo was proud to have owned and operated a dairy farm for 33 years, he earned numerous gold and silver quality awards throughout that time. In 2000, Joe and Valerie were named Outstanding Young Dairy Couple by the Michigan Milk Producers Association. JoJo loved to hunt and fish, he looked forward to spending the opening morning of deer hunting season with his daughter Emily in the fall of each year, as well as coyote hunting. Each spring, he also looked forward to going sucker spearing with his kids and family from the city. Joe enjoyed spending long summer nights wrapping hay with his son Brandon, playing cards, farming, and especially spending time with family. JoJo will be missed by many family, friends, and neighbors. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Val Kubacki; children, Brandon Kubacki of Bad Axe, and Emily (Adam) Ainsworth of Bad Axe; siblings, Michele (Richard) Jackson of Marlette, Loretta (Bill Farmer) Johnson of Dacula, Georgia, Douglas (Margaret) Kubacki of Cookeville, Tennessee, Julie (Ken) Bushoven of North Haledon, New Jersey, and Deanna (Peter) Herrington of Cookeville, Tennessee; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Judy Arndt of Port Hope; sisters-in-law, Kimberly Arndt of Bad Axe, Karen (Tom) Priemer of Harbor Beach, and Stephenie Arndt of Memphis; brother-in-law, Kevin (Sally) Arndt of Port Hope; and several nieces and nephews in many states including Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Betty Kubacki. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held on August 1, 2020 at the Ubly Fox Hunter’s Club. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. Memorial will be at 12 noon with dinner to follow. Come share your favorite memories. There will be skeet shooting and cornhole as those were some of JoJo’s favorite activities. In the evening, a bonfire will take place at the house, please bring a lawn chair if you wish. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Val Kubacki at 1331 East Wadsworth Rd., Bad Axe, Michigan 48413.
