August Francis Kubackie
August 27, 1894 - August 23, 1977
BAD AXE - August F. Kubackie, 82, died unexpectedly Tuesday in his home, 
apparently from a heart attack.  He was born August 27, 1894, in Parisville, 
and lived in Bad Axe five years.  He married Miss Mary Osentoski July 6, 
1920, in Parisville.  Mr. Kubackie was a parishioner of Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, Bad Axe. 

He is survived by his wife; five sons, Felix Kubackie, Harper Woods; August 
Kubackie Jr., Detroit; Eugene Kubackie, Ubly; Anthony Kubackie, Cass City, 
and Edward Kubackie, Port Austin; six daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Micklash and 
Mrs. Christine Eilers, both of Had Axe; Mrs. Frances Polega, Kinde; Mrs. 
Rose Smith, Filion; Mrs. Elinore Krawczyk, Auburn; and Mrs. Janet Skipinski, 
Ubly; a brother, Alex Kubackie, Bad Axe; 75 grandchildren; and 23 great-
grandchildren. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Church.  The Rev. Raymond 
Oswald, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  
Remains will be in the MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe, after 7 p.m. today.  
A Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
