"Toots" Kucharczyk, 82, of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. She was born on May 11, 1935, in Argyle, to the late Norman and Angeline (Schroeder) Swartz. Lylan and Albert Kucharczyk were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 1954. He preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2002. Lylan was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, her garden, flowers and being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Debbie (Elmer) Bender of Harbor Beach, James (Darlene) Kucharczyk of Harbor Beach, Douglas (Evonne) Kucharczyk of Gagetown, Kathy (Lavern) Guitar of Harbor Beach and Sherry (Steve) Christian of Harbor Beach; grandchildren Todd, Traci, Tara, Chad, Shane, Chase, Daryl, Brent, Ethan, Jenny, Matthew, Charnelle, Kayla, Shaun, Noel, Adam, Amanda; great grandchildren Paxton and Lucas; and her siblings Fred (Glenda) Swartz of Harbor Beach, Charles (Judy) Swartz of Harbor Beach, Dolores Pawlowski of Harbor Beach, Pat (Jack) Emerick of Port Hope, Robert (Sherry) Swartz of Harbor Beach, Shirley (Allen) Messing of Ruth, James (Rita) Swartz of Harbor Beach; and many nieces and nephews. Lylan was preceded in death by her son Michael Kucharczyk, great grandchild Melvin, and her sister Mildred Kozfkay. Funeral mass for Lylan will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. George Amos officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Lylan will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, and a Parish Vigil Service will take place at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com.
