Ernest Kucharczyk  
November 5, 1914 - March 7, 1987
Ernest C. Kucharczyk (Cook) 72, Ruth, died Saturday, March 7, 1987 at Marlette 
Community Hospital after a long illness.  He was born November 5, 1914 in Paris 
Township, son of Frances (Wruble) Kucharczyk, Ruth, and the late Herman 
Kucharczyk.  He married Bernice Milowski October 22, 1944 in Detroit.  She 
preceded him in death September 1961.  He married Bertha Salowitz May 5, 1962 at 
St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly.  He farmed for many years in Paris Township 
before retiring in 1979.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, 
Parisville, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Ruth. 

Surviving are his wife, Bertha, Ruth; one daughter, Marlene Bilicki, Mayville; 
his mother, Frances, Ruth; four stepdaughters, Mrs. James (Irene) Schmidt, Ubly, 
Mrs. Beatrice Martinez, Milan, Susie Schmidt, Harbor Beach, and Mrs. Butch 
(Marlene) Kolomak, Marlette; one stepson, Leonard Salowltz, Ypsilanti; two 
sisters, Mrs. Clemens (Margie) Danlelski, Ubly and Mrs. Sylvester (Lillian) 
Lamke, Ubly; and three brothers, Elmer Cook, Daytona Beach, Florida, Harold 
Kucharczyk, Ubly and Albert Kucharczyk, Harbor Beach.  He was preceded in death 
by one daughter, one sister and one granddaughter. 

Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Leonard 
Wilkuski, pastor officiated.  Burial was in church cemetery.  Arrangements were 
conducted by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.  Published Minden City 
Herald Thursday March 12, 1987.
