Julia (Kucharczyk) Lackowski
July 30, 1898 - February 20, 1980
UBLY - Julia Lackowski, 81, Ubly, died Wednesday, February 20, 1980 in her 
home, apparently of a heart attack.  She was born July 30, 1898, In 
Milwaukee, and was a longtime area resident.  She married Frank Lackowski 
November 11, 1919, in Perrysville.  They farmed in Sigel Township until they 
retired to Ubly in 1968.  They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 
November.  Mrs. Lackowski was a member of Holy Rosary Sodality of St. Mary's 
Catholic Church, Perrysville.  

She is survived by her husband; six daughters, Mrs. George (Selma) Geiger, 
Harbor Beach; Mrs. Ernest (Virginia) Watschowski and Mrs. Robert (Frances) 
Becking, both of Bad Axe; Mrs. Elmer (Evelyn) Peyerk, Filion; Mrs. Chris 
(Sylvia) Beartolatta, Roseville; and Mrs. Theresa Puvalowski, East Detroit; 
six sons, Edward and Casimer, both of Bad Axe; Ervin, Warren; Walter Hill, 
Dearborn Heights; Richard, Roseville; and Franklin, Mount Clemens; 49 
grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.  A 
Daughter, Rose Collins, died three years ago, and a son, Raymond, East 
Detroit, died February 14. 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Stanley 
Surman, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  
Visiting hours in Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly, will be after 7 p.m. today.  
The Holy Rosary Sodality will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. today.  Father 
Surman will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Friday.  Published Times Herald
