William Frank Lackowski May 23, 1931 - July 15, 1993 PARISVILLE - William Lackowski, 62, died Thursday, July 15, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine. Mr. Lackowski owned the Parisville Hotel and Tavern. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parisville. Visiting is 6:30 to 9:30 p.m today, 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 to-9:45 a.m. Monday in the Zinger Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. A parish wake service is 3 p.m. Sunday. St. Mary's Men's Club rosary will be said at 7 p.m. and Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Saturday July 17, 1993 ------------- PARISVILLE HOTEL OWNER BILL LACKOWSKI, DIES Parisville Hotel owner William F. Lackowski, 62, of Parisville died Thursday, July 15, 1993, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a short illness. He was born May 23, 1931 in Hamtramck, son of Regina (Wojtalewicz) Schmidt and the late Alexander Lackowski. He married Lorraine Schulte October 7, 1950 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Mr. Lackowski attended St. Mary’s Elementary School, Parisville, and was a 1948 graduate of Ubly High School. He was employed at the Hudson Motor Car Company in Detroit from 1949 to 1951. He was employed with Hercules, Inc. from 1951-75. Mr. Lackowski had been the owner of the Parisville Hotel from 1972 until his death. He was a member of the Michigan Liquor-Beverage Association. He was the Paris Township clerk from 1959-72, and has been supervisor and assessor since 1972. He was a saxophonist with the Lackowski Brothers Orchestra from 1948-57. Mr. Lackowski was a member of the Ruth Knights of Columbus Council 3823 and a member of St. Mary’s Mens' Club. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Parisville. Surviving are his wife, Lorraine of Parisville; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Eicher of Frankenmuth, and Mrs. Carey (Betty) Deachin of Ogden, Utah; three sons, Ronald and his wife Doreen of Bad Axe, Daniel and his wife Karen of Ubly, and Robert and his wife Colleen of Alvin, Texas; his mother, Regina Schmidt of Bad Axe; one sister, Mrs. Al (Janette) Lopez of Sterling Heights; three brothers, Clarence and his wife Betty of Frankenmuth, Marshall and his wife Mary Ann of Washington, and Alex of Walled Lake. Services were 10:00 a.m. Monday at S.t Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. The Rev. Ronald Dombrowski, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
