Lamke, 78, of Ubly, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2003, at her home after a lengthy illness. Beatrice was born on June 3, 1924 in Ubly to the late Leo and Martha (Zurek) Danielski. She married John Jaskowski on Feb. 14, 1942. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1979. She married Elmer Lamke on Nov. 21, 1981 at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. Beatrice attended the MacDonald Country School. She worked at Clements Manufacturing. She then worked at General Cable of Cass City before she retired. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville and was a member of the St. Mary Rosary Sodality. Beatrice is survived by her husband, Elmer, of Ubly; three daughters, Diane Grifka, of Ubly, Dorothy Morell and her husband, Bernard, of Ubly, Emelie Thompson and her husband, Murray, of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Virgil Jaskowski and his wife, Lorraine, of Bad Axe, Rodney Jaskowski and his wife, Catherine, of Minden City; one step son, Dennis Lamke, of Parisville; two step daughters, Diane McLean and her husband, John, of Ubly, Judy Lamke and her significant other, Chris Peters, of North Carolina; one step-daughter-in-law, Carol Lamke, of Ubly; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo Danielski and his wife, Jeannette, of Ubly; five brothers-in-law, Ted Heilig, of Howell, Ervin Lemke and his wife, Irene, of Ubly, Cass Lamke and his wife, Ruby, of Bad Axe, Eugene Lamke and his wife, Mildred, of Parisville, Richard Lamke and his wife, Barbara, of Ubly; five sisters-in-law, Martha Plawinski, of Detroit, Anna Tomasczewski and her husband, Al, of Detroit, Marie Peruski of Ubly, Arlene Longuski and her husband, Jerry, of Ubly, Evelyn Susalla and her husband, Jake, of Ubly; several nieces and nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by two grandsons, David Doerr Jr. and Dennis Grifka; one son-in-law, David Doerr Sr.; one sister, Esther Fisher; one step-son, Kenneth Lamke. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2003, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. The Rev. Andrzej Boroch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, from 1 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 to 9 a.m. on Monday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly. There will be a Rosary at 3 p.m. on Sunday by the St. Mary Rosary Sodality at the funeral home.
