Ted was born on Nov. 10, 1914, in Minden City to the late John and Rose (Peplinski) Lamke. He married Irene Oberski on June 17, 1938, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. She preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 2000. Ted was a graduate of a country school and worked on the family farm. He worked in Detroit for a few years and then worked locally at Surface Mausoleum. He was a custodian for St. Mary's in Parisville as well as a life long parishioner. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Ted is survived by three daughters, Viola Church and her husband, Wayne, of Filion; Patricia Limbacher and her husband, Richard, of Carsonville, Lucille Paionk and her husband, Adam, of Parisville; two sons, Marvin Lamke and his wife, Sally, of Parisville, Myron Lamke and his wife, Joyce, of Ubly; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Isabel Wodwaska, Gertrude Oberski, Rita Oberski and Jean Lamke; one brother-in-law, Mr. David Oberski and his wife, Mildred; many nieces and nephews. Ted is preceded in death by one brother, Sylvester Lamke; one sister, Irene M. Fisher; nine brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law. Funeral mass for Ted Lamke will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at St. Mary Catholic Church of Parisville. Rev. Steve Gavit, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9:30 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, of Ubly. There will be a Men's Club Rosary at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
