Langenburg September 24, 1929 – September 16, 1990 Louis Langenburg, 60, died Sunday, September 16, 1990 at Bay Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born September 24, 1929 in Arglye, son of the late George and Valerie (Cregur) Langenburg. He was united in marriage to Miss Jeanette Gonwicha January 22, 1949 in Caro, and they made their home in Cass City. Mr. Langenburg had been a counselor in the alcoholic program for the Tuscola County Health Department. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; ten daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Rockwell of Snover, Ms. Barbara Langenburg of Southfield, Mrs. Kenneth (Sally) Nicholas of Bad Axe, Mrs. Ann Cowell of Caro, Mrs. Karl (Jenny) Zawilinski, Mrs. Raymond (Evelyn) Burleson, Mrs. John (Susan) Kappen, Mrs. Robert (Brenda) Erla, and Mrs. Christopher (Valerie) Peters, all of Cass City; six sons, Mr. Lewis Langenburg Jr. of Detroit, Mr. Henry Langenburg of Ubly, Mr. Joseph Langenburg, Mr. Leigh Langenburg, and Mr. William Langenburg, all of Cass City and PFC Michael Langenburg serving with the United States Army in Germany. Others are 3 sisters, Mrs. Joanna McLaughlin of Merrill, Michigan, Mrs. William Franzel of Port Sanilac, and Mrs. Marshall Osentoski of Ubly; three brothers, Mr. Francis Langenburg of Indian River, Mr. William Langenburg of Snover and Mr. Leigh Langenburg of Black River; and twenty-four grandchildren. One daughter, Kathryn and 4 brothers, Floyd, Dick, Joseph and Charles preceded him in death. A prayer sercice was scheduled for Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at Lttle’s Funeral Home, Cass City. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a,m. at St. Agatha Catholic Church of Gagetown with Father Julius Spleet and Sister Nancy Aoyette, pastors, officiating. Burial will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown.
