John Stanley Learman
December 15, 1947 – June 3, 2007
John S. Learman, 59, of Harbor Beach, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007, at 
Harbor Beach Community Hospital.   He was born December 15, 1947 to Evelyn 
(Terbrack) and the late Arthur Learman.  John married Ilene Kociba on November 
8, 1969 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Kinde.  He was a member of St. 
Anthony's Church, St. Anthony's Men's Club and also an usher.  
 
John is survived by his wife, Ilene, of Harbor Beach; seven sons, Paul Learman 
and his wife, Tina, of Harbor Beach, Gary Learman and his special friend, Sue, 
of Ubly, John Learman and his wife, Jenny, of Harbor Beach, Rick Learman, of 
Harbor Beach, Matthew Learman and his special friend, Jenny, of Harbor Beach, 
Eric Learman, of Harbor Beach, and Darrin Learman and his special friend, 
Kristie, of Harbor Beach; six daughters, Mary Jo Seltz and her husband, 
Russell, of Harbor Beach, Nancy Learman, of Troy, Janice Learman and her 
husband, Josh, of Bad Axe, Deanna Learman and her special friend, Jose, of 
Berkley, Renee Learman and her special friend, Rob, of Ruth, and Sandy Learman 
and her special friend, Jeff, of Port Austin; 15 grandchildren; his mother, 
Evelyn; two sisters, Marie (Ed) Holdwick, of Harbor Beach, Theresa (Harold) 
Holdwick, of Bad Axe; and two brothers, Edward (Mary Ann) Learman, of Oscoda, 
and Frederick Learman and his special friend, Sally, of Three Rivers.   He was 
preceded in death by his father, Arthur Learman; and one son, James Learman in 
1996.   
A Funeral Mass for John will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at St. 
Anthony's Catholic Church of Helena. Fr. Jerzy Dobosz will officiate.  Burial 
will follow in the church cemetery.   Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on 
Tuesday in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A Men's Club Rosary will 
be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home
