Lucille Jane (Hessling) Learman  
October 17, 1918 - December 9, 1981
Lucille J. Learman, 63, of 4325 Section Line Road, died Wednesday, December 9, 
1981, in Detroit after a short illness.  She was born December 17, 1918, in 
Sherman Township and was a lifetime Bad Axe resident.  She married Stanley 
Learman August 2, 1941, in Helena.  He died October 6, 1971.  She was a member 
of the St. Rita Altar Society.  She was parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic 
Church, Rapson. 

She is survived by six sons, Harvey, Flint, Gerald, Filion, Carl, Saginaw, 
Joseph, Saline, Richard, Bad Axe, and Harold, Grosse Pointe Woods; four 
daughters, Mrs. Rita Woodruff, St. John's, Mrs. Jeanette Hunt, Bad Axe, Mrs. 
Rosemary Zinc, Roosevelt, and Mrs. Bernice Weltin, Harbor Beach; 24 
grandchildren; her father, Henry Hessling, Harbor Beach; two sisters, Mrs. 
Florence Booms, Harbor Beach, and Mrs. Kathleen Peruski, Ruth; and one brother, 
Elmer Hessling, Harbor Beach.  A son and two daughters died earlier. 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's.  The Rev. Steven 
Sumark, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  
Visiting starts at 7 p.m. today in the Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor Beach.  A 
rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron,
