Leppek, 66, of Ubly, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Huron Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. He was born on June 30, 1943 in Bad Axe to the late Joseph L. and Bertha (Pawlowski) Leppek. Paul did volunteer work with the handicapped for a number of years. He was a lifelong parishioner at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. He enjoyed putting together jig-saw puzzles and playing cards with his friends. He is survived by two brothers, Melvin Leppek and his wife, Virginia, of Ubly, Alfonce Leppek and his wife, Marilyn, of Traverse City; two sisters-in-law, Bette Leppek of Sebring, Fla., and Frances Leppek of Bloomfield Hills; several nieces and nephews; and many deaf friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Gerald Leppek. The Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. The Rev. T.J. Fleming, of St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Ubly. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Church.
