Leppek, 68, Ruth, died Friday, June 9, 1989, at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, after a short illness. He was born July 7, 1920 in Parisville, son of the later Joseph M. and Ann (Pawloskl) Leppek. He married Stella Guitar September 2, 1944, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth. Mr. Leppek graduated from rural school and farmed in Paris Township until 1970. He was employed for Michigan Peat Company, Sandusky, Ruth Drain Tile, Ruth, and Dott Manufacturing Company, Deckerville, retiring in 1976. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church, Parisville, where he was an usher and member of the mens club. Surviving are his wife Stella, Ruth; four sons, Donald Leppek, Elyria, Ohio, Dale Leppek, Lynn Massachuettes, David Leppek, Bradenton, Florida, and Craig Leppek, Fenton; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Chris) O'Berski, Ubly; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Leppek, Edgewater, Florida, and Clarence Leppek, Areata, California; and three sisters, Mrs. Lee (Delores) Schubering, Utica, Mrs. Melvin Gentner, St. Clair Shores, and two Mrs. William (AdrIann) Keenan, Warren. Preceding him in death were two sons, Russel Leppek in 1965, and Brian Leppek J970; two brothers Alfred Leppek and Laverne Leppek; and three sisters, Angelina Guitar. Delphine Kubacki and Evelyn Leppek. Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Stanley Surman, pastor at Holy Family Catholic Church, Sebewaing, officiated. Burial was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A rosary was offered 8:30 p.m Sunday by the St. Mary Men's Club. Another rosary was offered 8 p.m. Monday by Father Surman at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly.
