Stella Mary (Guitar) Leppek
May 3, 1925 - August 21, 1999
Mrs. Stella M. Leppek, age 74, of Ruth, died Saturday, August 21, 1999 at 
Huron Memorial Hospital.  She was born May 3, 1925 in Ruth, Michigan, 
daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances (Vogel) Guitar.  She married 
Wilbert Elmer Leppek on September 2, 1944 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic 
Church of Ruth.  He preceded her in death on June 9, 1989.  She attended 
Sts. Peter & Paul High School in Ruth.  She worked on the family farm with 
her husband in ParisTwp. until 1970.  She was a waitress for several years 
at the Farmer's Tavern and was employed at Dott Manufacturing in Deckerville 
for 26 years.  She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church of Parisville, and 
a member of the Rosary Sodality.  She was a member; of the Parisville Senior 
Citizens, and a member and former officer of the Parisville VFW Post 5740 
Ladies Auxiliary.  She was an avid bowler at Minden City.  She enjoyed card 
playing, gardening, and visiting with her family.  She was a worker for many 
years at the annual St Mary's Parish Picnic.  

She is survived by her daughter, Christine O’Berski and her husband, 
Kenneth, of Ubly; four sons, Donald and special friend, Carol Webber, of 
Elyria, Ohio, Dale and his wife, Diane, of Lynn, Mass., David and his wife, 
Nancy, of Bradenton, FL, and Craig and his wife, Sylvia Ann, of Holly, MI; 
11 grandchildren, Michelle, Melinda, Jason, Adam, Brad, Chad, Michelle; 
Tyler, Tonia, Nicholas, and Ryan; 3 great grandchildren, Eric, Kip, and 
Gary; 3 brothers, Marcus Guitar and his wife, Grace, of Macomb, MI, Eugene 
Guitar and his wife, Albina, of Warren, MI, Raymond Guitar and his wife, 
Vivian, of Clinton Twp., MI; 4 sisters, Viola Gailia and her husband, Chuck, 
of Harrison Twp., MI, Lucille Duda and her; husband, Edward, of Troy, MI, 
Marion Schefka and her husband, LaVeme, of Sterling Heights, MI, Kathleen 
Pawloski of Washington, MI; one stepsister, Rita Coaster of Reed , City, MI.  
She was preceded in death by ha husband; two sons, Russel Leppek in 1965 and 
Brian Leppek in 1970; and her brother, Nicholas on July 28, 1943. 

Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday August 25, at St Mary’s Church 
of Parisville.  Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor, officiated.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery.  Arrangements were handled by Zinger - Smigielski Funeral
