Arthur Paul Lipinski
February 3, 1921 – February 23, 2012
Arthur Lipinski, 91, of Caseville, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Young 
Home for the Elderly in Warren.  Art was born February 3, 1921 in Detroit to 
the late Frank and Martha (Grencz) Lipinski.  He graduated from Detroit 
Northeastern High School in 1939.  He served in the US Army Air Corps during 
World War II.  On November 11, 1944 he married Dolores Zmich at Barksdale Field 
Air Base in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Dolores preceded him in death on July 27, 
2010.  After marrying, the family settled in Warren and raised their family 
while Art worked as a dispatcher for the Detroit News.  In 1985 he retired and 
moved to his home on Lake Huron in Lake Twp.  He was an active member at St. 
Roch Catholic Church, serving in the choir and as an usher.

Surviving are his children Paul of Royal Oak, Richard (Diane) of Sterling 
Heights, David (Debi) of California, Thomas (Paula) of Dryden and Karen (Al) 
Thornton of Warren; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters 
Dorothy Gallo of Clinton Twp and Lorraine Frankowiak of St. Clair Shores.

A funeral mass will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 27th at St. Roch Catholic 
Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial with military honors will be in 
St. Roch Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2 to 7 pm Sunday at the Champagne 
Funeral Chapel of Caseville and one hour prior to the mass on Monday at church. 
There will be a wake service at 6:30 Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorials may 
be made to the St. Roch Building Fund.  DETROIT NEWS February 26, 2012
