Mrs Robert Long
Bad Axe, March 9 – Mrs Ella May Long, 85, widow of Robert Long, died Tues in Bad 
Axe General Hosp after a long illness.  Mrs Long was born Nov 10, 1869 in 
Jackson MI. She ad Mr Long were married Sept 9, 1891 and came 43 years ago to 
Colfax Twp. Mr Long died Sept 5, 1943. Mrs Long is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs Lettie Boyle, Los Angeles, and Mrs Edna Schroeder, Kingston, a son, John 
Long, Bad Axe; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Mrs Long was 
a member of WCTU and Colfax Grange. Remains are in Alden A MacAlpine funeral 
home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thurs. Rev Robert E McLean, 
pastor of First Meth  ch will officiate. Burial will be in Colfax cemetery.
