Born May 15, 1899 in Austin Twp, he lived most of his life in Ubly where he operated a general store until his retirement four years ago. He married Miss Estella Zulauf, Jan 18, 1928. Mr Lowe was well known in Sanilac and Huron counties and was active in Ubly civic affairs. He was president of the Ubly Community club in 1940, a former member of the Village Council, president of the Ubly Board of Education eight years and was instrumental in having the present Ubly School built. He is survived by his widow, his mother, Mrs Mary A Lowe, Pontiac, a brother John Lowe, Sandusky; two sisters, Mrs Gordon Hamilton, Pontiac and Mrs Henry Hacker, Sandusky, three nieces and seven nephews. Rev Karl Troutman, pastor of Bad Axe Our Savior Luth ch will officiate at funeral services at 2 p.m. Sun in his home here. Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.
