He was born Nov 17, 1922, in Bad Axe and moved to Chicago in 1948. Mr MacEachin graduated from DePaul University, Chicago, IL and worked for an accounting firm there. John was a turret gunner in the 8th Air Force in the European Theatre during WWII and a member of the K of C. Remains are at Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly. Bad Axe Knights of Columbus will conduct rosary devotions at 8 p.m. Wed at the funeral home. Solemn high mass will be 11 a.m. Thurs in St Columbkille Cath ch by Fr Wer, Rev Cornelius MacEachin, Rev John McMillan, an uncle and Rev George Weber, a cousin, will officiate. Survivors are 5 brothers, Angus, Gagetown, Fr Cornelius, past of St Patrick Cath ch, Croswell, Raymond, Saginaw, James and Charles, both of Ubly. One sister, Mrs William C Yaroch, Ann Arbor. Burial will be in church cemetery.
