She was born February 21, 905, in Paris Township, daughter of the late Joseph and Ottilia (Gwisdalla) Trepkowski. She married David Bismack on September 25, 1925, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death August 30, 1930. She married Edward Makowski on November 25, 1935, at St Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death October 23, 1989. Mrs. Makowski was a rural school graduate and lived all her life in Huron County. She was an honorary member and a former officer of St. Mary’s Rosary Sodality and a former, officer of the Parisville senior citizen group. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. David (Mildred) Oberski, of Ruth, Mrs. Lillian Jaroch of Ubly, and Mrs. Willis (Marion) Wilkowski of Casco; one son, Elmer "James" and his wife, Suzanne of Ruth; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ira Trepkowski of Ubly and Joseph Trepkowski of Ubly and two sisters, Laura Alent of Ubly and Mrs. Marshalla (Bertha) Swartz of Minden City. She was preceded in death by three borthers, Leo, Walter and Julius Trepkowski; and three sisters, Clara Cook, Margaret Klebba and Martha Jaroch. Funeral services were Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Ronald Dombrowski, pastor, officiated with burial m the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.
