Susalla, 89, of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born September 15, 1922, in Paris Township, to the late Xavier and Anastasia (Lemanski) Oberski. Marion and Norman Susalla were united in marriage November 18, 1939, in Ruth. Marion was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She was a waitress, and enjoyed reading, flea markets, tractor shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marion is survived by her husband, Norman, of Harbor Beach; children, Don Susalla and his wife, Arlene, of Shelby Township, Diana Booms and her husband, Tom, of Port Hope; six grandchildren, Tom (Jean) Booms Port Hope, Tim (Rosanne) Booms of Almont, Lori Brown of Saginaw, Michael (Shawna) Susalla of Almont, Michelle Susalla of Shelby Township and Mark (Allyson) Susalla of Sterling Heights; eight great-grandchildren, Kyle, Trevor and Tyler Booms of Port Hope, Caitlyn and Keegan Booms of Almont, Paige and Harley Susalla of Sterling Heights, and Hunter Susalla of Almont; brother, Jerry Gwasdalla of Frasier; sisters, Roslene Garry of Jackson, Arlene Michaud of Florida, Joyce Capling of Jacksonville, Florida, and Elaine Maurer of Ruth. She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Jessica Susalla; and sisters, Gladys Schock, Jeanette Little and Lillian Oberski. Funeral Mass for Marion will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Marion will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. at the church. A Parish Vigil Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
