Robert J. Mausolf
January 30, 1929 – March 26, 2011
Robert J. Mausolf, 82, of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 
Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community 
Hospital.  He was born January 30, 1929 in Harbor Beach, to the late Albert and 
Josephine (Roggenbuck) Mausolf.  Robert and Betty Messing were united in 
marriage May 16, 1953 in Ruth at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and 
were married for over 57 years.  Robert was a lifetime farmer and a lifetime 
member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Helena.  He loved wildlife, deer 
hunting, visiting with family and friends, playing cards, spending time with 
his children and grandchildren, dancing, traveling and growing things.  He was 
a member of AA for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Mausolf, of Harbor Beach; four sons, Tom 
Mausolf of Garner, North Carolina, Harvey Mausolf and his wife, Carol, of Ruth, 
Roger Mausolf and his wife, April, of Carsonville, Paul Mausolf of Harbor 
Beach; three daughters, Joyce Hurren and her husband, Norm, of Carsonville, 
Karen Mausolf of Minden City and Lynn Schneidewind of Akron. Also his 
grandchildren, Andrew Mausolf, Thomas Mausolf, Timothy Mausolf, Charles 
Mausolf, Matthew Mausolf, Scott Hurren, Jeffrey Hurren, Ryan Hurren, Angela 
Mausolf, Justin Mausolf, Jesse Schneidewind, Levi Schneidewind, Trista Osmond, 
Garrett Mausolf, Ashlyn Mausolf, Tiffany Mausolf, Cody Mausolf, Paula Mausolf, 
Julia Mausolf; two step-grandchildren, Justin Leach and Heather Innes; and six 
great-grandchildren; sister, Angeline Shaw; sisters-in-law, Alice Mausolf, 
Marian Mausolf, Florence Mausolf and Janet Gough.  He was preceded in death by 
his daughter, Julie Beth Mausolf; brothers, Harry Clarence, Lawrence, Edward, 
Jerome and Marcus Mausolf; sister, Stella Holdwick and her husband, Jerome; an 
infant sister, Edna Mausolf; and brother-in-law, Dan Shaw.

Funeral Mass for Robert will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in St. 
Anthony’s Catholic Church of Helena, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. 
Burial will follow in the St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery.  Visitation for Robert 
will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 
Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A rosary service will take place at 7:30 
p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
