Karen Rose Mausolf  
January 12, 1959 – March 5, 2020
Karen Rose Mausolf, 61 of Minden City, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 
her residence of an apparent heart attack.  She was born on January 12, 1959 in 
Harbor Beach to Betty (Messing) Mausolf and the late Robert J. Mausolf.  Karen 
was a graduate of the Harbor Beach High School.  She worked at Dotts 
Manufacturing for over 30 years.  She then became employed at Valley Enterprise 
and worked there until she had to retire due to health problems.  Karen loved to 
read.  She enjoyed caring for and feeding malnourished stray cats.
           
Karen is survived by her daughter, Angela Mausolf of Clinton Township; her son, 
Justin (Alisa) Mausolf of Saranac; two grandchildren, Kira and Callen, both of 
Saranac; her mother, Betty Mausolf of Harbor Beach; four brothers, Tom Mausolf 
of Garner, North Carolina, Harvey (Carol) Mausolf of Ruth, Roger (April) Mausolf 
of Carsonville, Paul Mausolf of Harbor Beach; two sisters, Joyce (Norman) Hurren 
of Carsonville, Lynn Schneidewind of Akron.
 
Karen was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Julie; one brother-in-
law, Rick Schneidewind; grandparents, Albert and Josephine Mausolf, Andrew and 
Genevieve Messing  Innes.  A private family memorial service will be planned for 
the future.
