Judy A. Mazure, 62, resident of Bad Axe, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 
at her home with family by her side.  Judy was born February 16, 1948 in 
Verona Township to Roy W. and Helen M. (Goretski) Collings.  She was united in 
marriage to Albert Mazure on October 25, 1975 at Sacred Heart in Bad Axe.  
Judy graduated from Bad Axe High School and was a Licensed Practical Nurse at 
Huron Medical Center for 42 years before she became ill. She was a hard worker 
and farmed with her husband, Albert.  She loved working Sudoku puzzles, 
playing cards, walking in the woods and enjoying nature.  She also enjoyed 
Friday fish fries at Verona Tavern. Her special time was spent with her family 
and friends.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Ashley) Mazure of Belleville, Joshua 
(Loretta) Mazure of Bad Axe, Jody Mazure of Bad Axe, and Rosalie Mazure and 
her fiancée Mark Beaver of Bad Axe; her brothers: Roy II (Sharon A.) Collings 
of Bad Axe, John (Sharon L.) Collings of Bad Axe, William Collings of Bad Axe, 
Carl Collings of Bad Axe, Gary (Elaine) Collings of Deckerville, Ricky (Rose) 
Collings of Bad Axe, and Randy (Kathy) Collings of Bad Axe; her sister, Mary 
Proctor of Clarkston; her grandchildren Mialie and Kyra Beaver and Michael 
Mazure; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband 
Albert in 2001 and her parents Roy W. and Helen Collings.  

A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Bad Axe 
Free Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry Sutton, will officiate.  Visitation will 
be at 10 a.m. until time of service, Saturday. Arrangements are being handled 
by MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe.  Memorials may be made to the family 
discretionary fund or the donor’s choice.
