Alice F. (Buchkowski) Mazure
May 1, 1896 – August 7, 1990
Alice F. Mazure, 94, Harbor Beach, died Tuesday August 7, 1990 at Harbor Beach 
Community Hospital after a long illness.  She was born May 1, 1896 in Paris 
Township, daughter of the late Frank and Magdalina (Maurer) Buchkowski.  She 
married Frank Mazure November 23, 1920 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic 
Church, Harbor Beach.  Mrs. Mazure was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron 
Catholic Church and a member of the Alter Society.  

Surviving are her husband, Frank, Harbor Beach, three daughters, Mrs. Leonard 
(Gertrude) Wolschlager and Mrs. Gordon (Rose Marie) Cooper, both of Harbor 
Beach, and Mrs. Harry (Lorraine) Ganse, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; three sons, 
Melvin Mazure, Marysville, and Raymond Mazure and James Mazure, both of Harbor 
Beach; 36 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Roman Busch 
and Elmer Buchkowski, both of Harbor Beach.  She was preceded in death by a 
grandson; three brothers, Clarence Buchkowski, James Buchkowski and Charles 
Buchkowski; and three sisters, Irene Wilkowski, Eleanor Wilkowski and Clare 
Chape.

Funeral services were Friday at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church.  The 
Rev. Thomas McNamara pastor, officiated.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  
Arrangements were directed by the Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor Beach.
