Bartholomew (Barney) Mazure
September 21, 1873 – May 29, 1959
BAD AXE - Bartholomew "Barney" Mazure. 85, retired farmer of Verona Township, 
Huron County, died Friday in a Detroit hospital where he was a patient two 
weeks.  Mr. Mazure was born September 21, 1873 in Paris Township, Huron County.  
He and Miss Theresa Wrubel were married February 27, 1911, in St Mary's Catholic 
in Parisville.  Mrs. Mazure died January 9, 1954.  

Mr. Mazure is survived by a son, Clarence Mazure, Wayne, Mich., two daughters, 
Miss Jean Mazure, Bad Axe, and Mrs. Raymond Roggenbuck, Harbor Beach; four 
grandchildren, a brother, August Mazure, Bad Axe, and a sister, Mrs. Mary 
Heleski, Harbor Beach.  Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a m. Tuesday in 
St. Joseph's Catholic church in Rapson. Rev. Arthur Mulka will officiate.  
Burial will be In the church Cemetery.  The remains are in Zinger funeral home 
at Ubly where Father Mulka will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. today.  Published
