John S. Mazure
December 25, 1905 – December 3, 1954
John S. Mazure, 48, of 5611 Lapeer Road, resident of Port Huron 11 years and a 
millwright 15 years at the Mueller Brass company, died today in Port Huron 
Hospital after an illness of three weeks.  He was born Christmas Day, 1905, in 
Bad Axe.  He and Miss Winnie Q. Pykiet were married November 18 1940. Mr. Mazure 
was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church. 

He is survived by his widow, a son, John S. Mazure Jr., Port Huron; his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. August Mazure, Bad Axe; three brothers, Henry Mazure, Harbor Beach; 
Joseph Mazure, Washington, DC., and Albert Mazure, Bad Axe, and three sisters, 
Mrs. Norman Maedel, Brown City; Mrs. Leo Thiel, Bad Axe, and Miss Theresa 
Mazure, Detroit.  The remains are in the Karrer-Simpson funeral home. Funeral 
arrangements are not complete.  Published Port Huron Times Herald Friday 
December 3, 1954
