Rufus Mazure
November 28, 1870 – August 27, 1933
Ubly. August 28 - Rufus Mazure, 63. lifelong resident of Paris township, died 
Sunday morning in his home.  
Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday In St. Mary's church in 
Parlsville.  Rev. Kr. Joseph Koper officiating, with burial in church cemetery. 

Mr. Mazure is survived by his widow, Martha; five children. Mrs. Joseph 
Gwisialia. Paris, and Lucy, Nettie, Matthew and Henry, all at home; three 
brothers. Matthew, Slgel, and Barney and August, both of Verona, and four 
sisters, Mrs. Sofia Smaglinski. Slgel; Mrs. Fred Klama and Mrs. Frank Osentoski, 
both of Paris, and Mrs. Mary Gornowlcz, Harbor Beach.  Mr. Mazure was born 
November 28, 1870, in Paris Township. H was taken ill while in Ubly on business 
Saturday afternoon.  Published Port Huron Times Herald Monday August 28, 1933

Notes:  Son of Frank and Rosalia (Sofka) Mazure.  Married Martha Skrzypinski on 
January 31, 1898 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville.
Daughter: Bertha (Joseph) Gwisdalla.
Sisters:  Carrieline (Fred) Klama, Mrs. Rose (Frank) Osentoski
