Arthur Gehard Mazure
January 2, 1922 - June 25, 1999
Arthur G. Mazure age, 77, of Paris Twp died Friday June 25, 1999 at Port 
Huron General Hospital after a short illness.  He was born January 2, 1922 
in Harbor Beach son of the late Mathias "Michael" and Martha (Wrubel) 
Mazure.  He married Mary Grezezinski on January 27, 1948 at St John Church 
of Ubly.  She preceded him in death on April 11, 1980.  He married Lorraine 
(Lolkus) Croo on July 18, 1981 at St Mary's Church of Parisville.   He was a 
graduate of the Kipper School Sigel #6.  He was a former Constable in Sigel 
Twp. area for many years and farmed for 54 years in Sigel Twp.  He was a 
lifelong member of Most Holy Trinity Church of Smith Comers, the Holy Name 
Society and Grindstone Sportsmen's Club member. 

He is survived by his wife Lorraine of Ruth two daughters: Diane (Thomas) 
Lasceski of Port Austin and Debra Mazure of Harbor Beach three sons; David 
(Lorraine) Mazure of Tampa, Florida, Myron (Toni) Mazure of Ubly and William 
(Elaine) Mazure of Harbor Beach; two step-sons: Leslie Croo of Detroit and 
Leon (Deane) Croo of Garden City one step-daughter Audette (Terry) Crain of 
Standish; 15 grandchildren 12 step-grandchildren, seven step-great 
grandchildren; one brother Frank Mazure of Harbor Beach, one sister-in-law: 
Emma Mazure, one special nephew: Francis (Marian) Mazure of Kinde and many 
nieces and nephews  He was preceded in death by six brothers: Edward, Peter, 
Ira, William, John and Thomas Mazure; three sisters: Agnes Kowalke, Marie 
Mazure, Emma Mazure and one infant (unnamed).

 Mass of the Resurrection was held on Monday June 28, 1999 at 11:00 am at 
Holy Trinity Church of Smith Corners.  Rev John Weis, pastor officiated.  
Burial was in the church cemetery.  Arrangements were handled by the Zinger-
Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.  Published Harbor Beach Times Thursday July 
1,1999.



Additional Comments:
Note:  1st wife’s name was misspelled in the obituary.  Her maiden name was 
Brezezinski.
