Lorraine Leona (Lolkus) Mazure
July 15, 1931 - January 24, 2002
Lorraine Croo Mazure, age 70, of Standish and formerly of Ruth, passed away 
Thursday, January 24. 2002 at her daughter’s home in Standish.  She was born 
on July 15, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Peter and Leona 
(Winkelman) Lolkus.  She married Paul Croo on February 19, 1948 in Detroit.  
She married Arthur Mazure on July 18, 1981 at St. Mary Catholic Church in 
Parisville.  He preceded her in death on June 25, 1999.  Lorraine graduated 
from the Denby High School of Detroit.  She was a bookkeeper at Wyandotte 
Electric and Joba Construction of Brownstown Township.  She moved to Ruth in 
1981.  She was also a bookkeeper at Alan Legatz, C.P.A. of Harbor Beach and 
Allen Jones, C.P.A. of Deckerville.  She was a member of Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church of Smith Corners.  She was a member of the Smithsonian and 
National Geographic Societies.  She enjoyed playing cards, word games and 
crossword puzzles.  She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed historical 
research.  

Lorraine is survived by one daughter. Audette Crain and her husband, Terry, 
of Standish; two sons, Leon Croo and his wife, Deane, of Garden City, and 
Leslie Croo of Plymouth; two brothers, Melvyn Klein and his wife Margaret, 
and Meryl Klein and his wife, Marilyn, both of Clinton Township; 27 
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Smith Corners.  
Rev. John Weis, pastor, officiated.  Burial will be in the church cemetery 
in the spring.  Arrangements were handled by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral
