Joel Dee Mazure May 26, 1955 - September 20, 2017 Joel D. Mazure, 62 years old of Antioch, Illinois passed away at his home Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was born May 26, 1955 in St. Clair, Michigan, to Melvin M. and Virginia A. (nče Dropeske) Mazure. On April 24, 2002, he married his wife, Sandy in Las Vegas, Nevada and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2007. Joel spent his life as a plant manager working in a number of wire manufacturing facilities in California, Florida, and Illinois. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan football team, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Oakland Raiders. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed classic rock, fishing and playing solitaire on the computer. Joel is survived by his mother, Virginia A. Mazure; his siblings, Randy (Mary Rose) Mazure of North Liberty, Iowa, Gail Farquhar of Port Huron, Michigan, Marybeth (Steve) Schneider and Saundra (Steve) Warsinske, both of Marysville, Michigan; his nieces and nephews, David (Kim) Mazure, Patricia (Patrick) Andersen, Rebecca (Joe) Hicks, Katherine (Jeff) Marsland, Rich Farquhar, Kristi Farquhar, Ginny (Kevin Parrott) Schneider, Nick Schneider, Allison Warsinske, Kelly Warsinske, and Lauren Warsinske. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin M. Mazure and a brother-in-law, Ian Farquhar. A Celebration of Life will be held in Marysville, Michigan at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. Antioch, Illinois 60002. For additional information, call 847-395-4000.
