Irene (Pionk) McAllister
February 15, 1907 - July 17, 1993
PORT HURON - Irene J. McAllister, 86, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 17, 
1993, in Port Huron Hospital.  She was born February 14, 1907, in Huron 
County and had been a lifelong area resident.  She married Henry McAllister 
in Harbor Beach.  He died in March 1963.  Mrs. McAllister was a member of 
Court Street Baptist Church and the Martha Jorgenson Missionary Group.  She 
was also active with the Salvation Army Golden Agers and Women's League. 

She is survived by a son, Mr. and Mrs. William (Barbara) McAllister of Port 
Huron; three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Geraldine) Harris of Canton, 
Mrs. Gertrude Ross of Port Huron and Mr. and Mrs. Emory (Bette) Floyd of 
Fort Gratiot; 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; a brother, Mr. 
and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Poink of Port Huron; sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly 
(Lucy) Sullivan also of Port Huron. She was preceded in death by two 
daughters, Arlene Himmel and Jennie Burmeister and three sons-in-law. 

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Court Street Baptist Church.  The Rev. 
Mark J. Montgomery of Court Street Baptist Church will officiate.  Burial 
will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Her grandsons will be her pallbearers.  
Visiting is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the 
Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Court Street Baptist

Note:  Born in Harbor Beach to Mathias & Rosalia (Zurek) Pionk.  Although her 
obituary states she and Henry were married in Harbor Beach, their actual 
marriage record shows they were married in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
