Bad Axe, Nov 12 -- Mrs. Mamie McCarty, 67, wife of Joseph McCarty, died today in 
her home here after an eight month illness.  Mrs. McCarty was born June 26, 1884 
in Argyle Twp, Sanilac County and lived there until the family moved to Bad Axe 
22 years ago. 

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Michael O'Brien, Detroit; a 
son, Harold McCarty, Bad Axe; five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph 
LaMarche, Montreal and Miss Lulu McGarry, Los Angeles. Mrs. McCarty was a member 
of the Ladies Altar society of Sacred Heart Cath Ch. Remains are in her home. 
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
