Theresa A. (Smaglinski) McElgunn
January 26, 1938 – March 4, 2016
Theresa A. McElgunn, 78, of Memphis died Friday, March 4, 2016.  She was born 
January 26, 1938 in Bad Axe to the late Peter & Rose (Kubacki) Smaglinski.  
Theresa worked for Lionel Trains for many years.  She was a member of Holy 
Family Parish, Memphis and had been on the altar society. S he was a devoted 
wife, mother and grandmother.  Theresa also enjoyed to garden. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert; loving children, William 
(Susan) McElgunn of Grand Rapids and their son, Robert, Julie McElgunn-Vasquez 
of Lincoln Park and her children, Joshua, Nicolas and Matthew and Kevin 
McElgunn of Memphis; a brother, Bernard (Suzanne) Smaglinski of Harbor Beach 
and a sister, Edna Lackowski of Bad Axe.  She was preceded in death by a son, 
Robert J. McElgunn III in 1977. 

A Mass of Resurrection will be held Wednesday at 10:00am in Holy Family Parish, 
Memphis.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 3:00 – 6:00pm in 
Kammeraad-Merchant Funeral Home, Memphis and Wednesday from 9:00am until the 
time of mass at the church.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00pm to conclude 
visitation. Burial will be in Memphis Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to
