James E McGee
Bad Axe, June 25 – James Edward McGee, 79, resident of Huron County 66 years, 
died Sat night in his home on North Silver street after a long illness. Born 
April 10, 1870 in Lucan Ont., he came to Meade Twp in 1883. He lived the last 36 
years in Bad Axe. He and Miss Bertha Humphrey were married in 1905 in Pinnebog. 
Mr McGee was a member of Sacred Heart Cath ch.  

He is survived by his widow, five daughters, Mrs William Costello, Kinde; Mrs 
Floyd Hembling, Saginaw, and Misses Frances, Genevieve and Josephine McGee, all 
of Bad Axe; three sons, Erwyn, Charles and Patrick McGee, all of Bad Axe; 11 
grandchildren, five brothers, William, Dan and Pat McGee, all of Bad Axe, and 
Joseph and Charles McGee, both of inde. And two sisters, Mrs Calvin Harrison, 
Kinde, and Mrs James Casey, Bad Axe. The remains are in the Alden A MacAlpine 
funeral home.
