Eugene Donald McIntosh
February 26, 1925 - November 19, 2015
Eugene Donald McIntosh, 90, of Bad Axe, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at 
Courtney Manor.
Eugene was born February 26, 1925, to Donald and Bertha (Porsche) McIntosh.  On 
February 26, 1977, he married Irene Ahearn-Bairski at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church.  Gene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church/St. Hubert Parish. 
He enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing Euchre.   

Eugene is survived by his wife of 38 years, Irene; sons, Ken (Sally) McIntosh 
of Caro, Tom McIntosh of Bad Axe, and Ronald McIntosh of Germany; daughters, 
Janet (Ron) Hunt of Arizona, Jeanie (Alan) Foether of Alabama, and Joann 
(Larry) Stevens of Deford; step-sons, Gary (Delphine) Bairski, Dennis Bairski, 
Rick Bairski and Keith Bairski, all of Bad Axe; step-daughter, Colleen Bairski 
of Imlay City, brother-in-law Gerald Ahearn of Kinde; sisters-in-law, Violet 
Brown of Bad Axe and Anna Mae Angonese of Clinton Township; numerous 
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He 
was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. Rob Howe officiating. Cremation will take place 
following the service.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at 
the MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad Axe, and from 10 a.m. until the time of 
service Monday at the church.  The family would like to thank Courtney Manor 
for the excellent care they have given to Gene.  Memorials may be offered to
