August 2021 Sally Ann (Messing) McIntosh June 3, 1957 - August 19, 2021 Sally Ann McIntosh of Caro, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at her home. Sally was born June 3, 1957 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Gerald J., Sr. and Mary C. (Oswald) Messing and was a 1975 graduate of Harbor Beach High School. On May 20, 1978, Sally was united in marriage to Kenneth McIntosh at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, and he survives. Together, Ken and Sally owned and operated the Caro Packing Company for many years. Sally, a member of St. Christopher Parish, enjoyed music, sang in the church choir, loved photography, always enjoyed a good card game, and loved to dance, especially the polka. Most importantly, she was able to find the good in people and loved spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-three years, Ken McIntosh; one son and his wife, Steve & Lesley McIntosh; two grandsons, Mayson and Aiden McIntosh; five siblings and their spouses, Gerry Messing, Jr., Pat & Bob Hagedon, Dave & Bonnie Messing, Hank & Erin Messing, and Nick & Tracy Messing; her mother-in-law and her husband, Joyce & Jim Headlee; step-mother-in-law, Irene McIntosh; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tom McIntosh, Janet & Ron Hunt, Joanne & Larry Steven, Jean & Alan Foether, and Ron & Barb McIntosh; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eugene McIntosh. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. James Wm. Bessert officiating. Burial will follow at a later time at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Those planning and expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions to the Sally Ann McIntosh Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Ken McIntosh, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
