Justice Matthew McIntyre
Bad Axe Justice Matthew J McIntyre died Sunday morning in Hubbard memorial 
hospital where he had been since a heart attack two weeks ago. He had served as 
justice since 1957. McIntyre was born Sept 27, 1898 in Sheridan twp. Surviving 
him are his widow, Eleanor; 5 sons, Matthew, Bad Axe; Major Angus, USAF in 
Africa; Norman, Cleveland; Lt Owen USAF in Georgia and Charles, Detroit; 6 
daughters, Eleanor, Birmingham, Marie, Detroit, Jeanne and Mrs David Lipinski, 
both of Bad Axe; Mrs Everett Livingston, Aurora IL; Mrs Edward Morrison, 
Lansing, 1 brother, Alex, Lansing, 2 sisters, Mrs Angus McLellan, Bad Axe and 
Mrs Annie McIntosh, Detroit. Another son, John, was killed in the war. Funeral 
services will be held Thurs at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cath ch, Bad Axe. Burial 
will be in St Columbkille cemetery, Sheridan. Remains will be at the family home 
on East Irwin St.
