Mrs John McLeod
Bad Axe - Former resident of Bad Axe, Mrs Anastasia McLeod, 39, was buried Sat 
following 
her death Thurs in Hubbard Memorial hospital after a brief illness. Mrs McLeod 
was born 
May 5, 1917 in Bad Axe. She was graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1934, and 
she and 
Mr McLeod were married Sept 14, 1940 in Bad Axe. Before her marriage, mrs Mcleod 
was 
receptionist for several years in Herrington Medical clinic in Bad Axe. Mr & Mrs 
McLeod 
lived the last 9 years in Mt Clemens. Mr McLeod is employed by Detroit Edison 
Co. She is 
survived by her husband, 2 sons, John David 14, and James Michael, 11; 2 
dauthers, Mary 
Louise, 7 and Julia Ann 2; her mother, Mrs Mabel Slavin, Bad Axe; 4 brothers, 
James 
Stanley and John Slavin, all of Bad Axe, Michael Slavin, Baltimore MD; 4 
sisters, Mrs 
John Livingston, Marysville; Mrs Virgil Kelly, Bad Axe; Mrs Florian Jankowski, 
Fenton, MI 
and Mrs Carl H Rapson Jr Bad Axe. Rt Rev Msgr charles A Roark officiated at 
service in 
Sacred Heart Cath ch in Bad Axe. Burial was in colfax cemetery.
