Linda was born May 29, 1951, to Ernest and Molly (Abraham) Peruski in Parisville. She grew up on the family farm. Linda attended St. Mary’s School in Parisville for her grade school years and Ss. Peter & Paul in Ruth for her high school years, and graduated from Ubly High School in 1969. She was active in 4-H Club, participated in basketball, field and track and cheerleading. Her working career began in Port Huron at Michigan Bell and management at several St. Clair County dining establishments. She most recently worked at Southcare Billing, Inc. in Pompano Beach, Florida as an office assistant. Her associates at work became her family of friends. Linda met her husband, David (Mac) McNamara in the Port Huron area while he was stationed aboard the U. S. Coast Guard Cutter Bramble. They were married April 4, 1981, in Revere, Massachusetts. Although she missed her Michigan family and friends, Linda loved her Coast Guard family, as Mac was stationed along the Atlantic coastline. After Mac retired from active duty, they made their home in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Linda supported her children and their many friends in school functions and sporting activities. She loved her family and friends, and especially enjoyed traveling to Michigan as much as possible. She loved to cook, garden, read romance novels and, of course, she loved to shop. Linda was a beautiful, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, mother-in-law and grandmother. We love you Linda, always and forever. Linda is survived by her husband, David (Mac) McNamara; her son, Kevin (Patty) McNamara; daughter, Elena (McNamara) Patton; her mother, Molly (Peruski) Depcinski of Bad Axe; brother, Ron (Angie) Peruski of Elk Rapids; sister, Charlotte Walsh of Ubly; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernie, in 1995. A memorial visitation will be conducted from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. A Scripture will be offered at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
