Eugene Stanley Melczarczyk
April 5, 1921 - April 3, 2015
Eugene Stanley Melczarczyk, 93, of Columbus Township, died Friday, April 3, 
2015.  He was born April 5, 1921 in Hamtramck to the late Stanley and Kazierma 
Melczarczyk.  He married Bernice Visga on September 1, 1945 in Marysville.

Mr. Melczarczyk retired from Marysville Chrysler after 30 years of service.  He 
was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight with 
Knights of Columbus Marysville Council #9526.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting 
and fishing.  He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bernice; three children, Sharon (Gary) 
Robinson, Dennis (Beth) Melczarczyk, and Mary Ellen (Michael) Byington; five 
grandchildren, Cary (Barb) Robinson, Todd (Lisa) Robinson, Michael (Stephanie) 
Melczarczyk, Lisa (David) Buckland and Erin Byington; nine great grandchildren; 
and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, 
Diane Melczarczyk; two sisters; and a brother.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A 
rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 7:30 pm.  Mr. Melczarczyk 
will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. 
on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend 
Arthur Baranowski will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, 
Marysville. Pallbearers will be Cary and Todd Robinson, Michael Melczarczyk, 
Lisa and David Buckland and Erin Byington. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Stephanie Melczarczyk, Barb and Lisa Robinson and his great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church or 
Knights of Columbus Marysville Council #9526.   Pollock Randall Funeral Home
